Job summary

A leading hydraulic and engineering firm in Singapore seeks an experienced Controls Engineer to produce comprehensive controls solutions and electrical designs based on customer specifications. Responsibilities include developing HMI and PLC programs, conducting on-site testing and commissioning, and documenting project details. Candidates should possess a degree in Control & Instrumentation or equivalent, with strong troubleshooting skills and knowledge of PLCs and HMI systems being advantageous.

Job description

Responsibilities

• Produces complete controls solutions and electrical design packages based on customer specification, and standardized design practices.
• Formulates and produces complete electrical design package such as detailed schematics, cable routing diagrams, panel layouts, bills of materials, and purchase of material.
• Designs and implements HMI or PLC programs specific to customer and project requirements.
• On site testing and commissioning (local & overseas).
• Document control, project monitoring and provide solution for any technical and functional problems.

Requirements

• Degree in Control & Instrumentation/Electrical/IT Engineering or equivalent discipline.
• Strong trouble‑shooting, problem‑solving skills.
• Knowledge of PLCs, HMI and VFD would be an advantage.
