JOB DESCRIPTION
This role is responsible for managing and growing sales across major supermarkets, retail chains and e-commerce stores. It involves building strong relationships with major Modern Trade retailers, improving sales performance and executing promotional strategies to achieve business goals. It requires a deep understanding of market trends, consumer behavior and inventory management to ensure maximum profitability.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Client Relationship Management:
Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with key clients.
Identify and seize sales opportunities for product placement across Modern trade and e-Commerce channels.
Serve as the main point of contact between the client and the company.
Develop customer specific business plans and conduct regular performance reviews.
Ensure clients\' needs are met by providing high-quality service and support.
Establish trust and rapport with decision-makers and stakeholders at client organizations.
Product Selection & Inventory Management:
Monitor inventory levels to ensure stock availability and manage stock rotation.
Assist in ordering and selecting products based on sales data, customer preferences, and market trends.
Work with suppliers and internal teams to forecast demand and ensure timely deliveries.
Plan, track and execute seasonal promotions, product launches, and sales events.
Sales Analysis & Reporting:
Analyze sales trends, customer feedback, and stock levels to identify opportunities for product improvements or changes.
Prepare regular reports on product performance, sales data, and inventory levels for management.
Pricing Strategy:
Collaborate with the pricing team to ensure competitive pricing for products.
Monitor competitor pricing and adjust strategies accordingly.
Supplier Relations:
Maintain relationships with suppliers and vendors to ensure timely and efficient delivery of products.
Negotiate with suppliers on prices, delivery schedules, and promotions.
Customer Engagement & Feedback:
Work with the marketing team to develop customer-targeted merchandising strategies.
Collect and analyze customer feedback to improve product offerings and in-store or online presentation.
Team Collaboration:
Coordinate with the buying, sales, and logistics teams to ensure seamless operations.
Assist in training and mentoring junior merchandising staff when necessary.
REQUIREMENTS
Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or related field is preferred
Min 1 year of experience in merchandising, retail management, or a related field.
Good analytical skills with the ability to interpret sales data and trends.
Proven skills in communication, negotiation and relationship management.
Good organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks.
Proficient in Microsoft Office and retail management software.
Independent, able to work under pressure and problems solving
WORKING CONDITIONS
Full-time position
May require travel to supplier locations or stores for inventory assessments and merchandising strategies.
