Job summary
A leading transport company in Singapore is looking for a Workshop Supervisor to oversee technical specialists and ensure compliance with maintenance standards. The ideal candidate will have a Professional Certificate or Diploma in Engineering, along with at least 3 years of experience, including supervisory roles. Strong problem-solving skills and knowledge of Health & Safety regulations are crucial. This position may require commitment to shift work.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 3 years of working experience in automotive or manufacturing.
- 1 year of supervisory experience required.
- Valid Class 3 driving license is advantageous.
Responsibilities
- Supervise performance and repair standards of Workshop Technical Specialists.
- Liaise with stores personnel for material requirements.
- Ensure compliance with maintenance and legal standards.
- Optimize work for maximum vehicle availability.
- Monitor employee attendance and approve overtime.
Skills
Education
- Supervise and monitor the performance and repair standards of the Workshop Technical Specialists.
- Liaise with stores personnel to identify all material requirements and usages.
- Ensure that all maintenance work performed adheres strictly to standards established by Go-Ahead Singapore and any legal requirements.
- Optimize work to ensure maximum availability of vehicles to meet operational requirements.
- Work with all parties to minimize lost mileages due to engineering failures and issues.
- Ensure strict adherence to the planned inspection and maintenance schedules.
- Ensure strict adherence to all Health & Safety procedures, legal and company regulations.
- Undertake any necessary audit to ensure strict compliance with established processes and procedures.
- Carry out any ad-hoc duties as required by the Management.
- Diligently monitor employee attendance and approval of overtime.
- Supervise and ensure workplace safety and health risks are identified, assessed and controlled, and provide employees with information on compliance to workplace safety and health policies.
- Candidate must at least attain a Professional Certificate or Diploma in Engineering or equivalent.
- At least 3 years of working experience and 1 year of supervisory experience required in an automotive/manufacturing or equivalent environment.
- Candidates with more experience will be considered for a senior supervisor role.
- Candidate with automotive workshop supervisory experience will be advantageous.
- Candidate with a valid Class 3 driving license will be advantageous.
- Able to commit to shift work (including rotating shift/permanent nightshift).
