To support our extraordinary teams who build great products and contribute to our growth, we’re looking to add a Automation Engineer located in Flex PTP.
What a typical day looks like:
- Design, engineer, and modify existing and new moderately-complex automation equipment, tooling, and applications to automate manufacturing processes.
- Establish technical manuals, drawings, models, training documentation, preventative maintenance plans, and troubleshooting guides for automated equipment and processes.
- Understand machine operating standards, wear and tear parts, and product defects.
- Ensure machine uptime through regular preventive and breakdown maintenance.
- Willingness to learn and enhance skills across all types of automation equipment.
- Prepare root cause evaluations and drive permanent corrective actions.
- Provide feedback to improve process and equipment design.
- Manage daily department activities to maximize equipment utilization and support production needs.
- Coordinate maintenance activities with engineering and operations to ensure efficient departmental operations.
- Collaborate on planning, building, and maintaining the automation framework and related processes for new products.
- Identify and implement changes to improve automation effectiveness of existing processes.
- Demonstrate a thorough understanding of customer requirements and suggest automation solutions accordingly.
The experience we’re looking to add to our team:
- Bachelor's Degree in electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, or a related field.
- At least 3 years of experience in automation engineering within high-tech electronics or related industries.
- Experience developing devices with automatic camera recognition.
