Job summary

A leading oil and gas services company in Malaysia is seeking a qualified technician to handle daily workshop tasks and maintain equipment. Responsibilities include conducting equipment testing, assisting with troubleshooting and installation, and ensuring compliance with QA and HSE policies. The ideal candidate should possess at least a diploma in Oil & Gas Engineering Technology, have sound technical knowledge, and be fluent in English and Malay. This role requires a strong working attitude and self-discipline.

Qualifications

• At least a Diploma, Advanced/Higher/Graduate Diploma in Oil & Gas Engineering Technology.
• Good command of English and Malay languages.
• Strong sense of responsibility and self-discipline.

Responsibilities

• Conduct testing of equipment and systems.
• Assist in troubleshooting, maintenance, and installation.
• Clean equipment after maintenance and repairs.

Skills

Technical knowledge of Oil and Gas Industry

Good working attitude

Ability to perform off-hour coverage

Education

Diploma or higher in Oil & Gas Engineering Technology

Job description

Responsible for daily workshop tasks & operations, and maintenance of the equipment while complying with Company QA & HSE policies, procedures and statutory requirements.

Major Duties and Responsibilities

• Conduct testing of equipment and systems.
• Assist in the troubleshooting, maintenance and installation of equipment.
• Check that housekeeping of tools is performed in line with set procedures.
• Clean equipment after performing maintenance and repairs.
• Offer support and take corrective action as required.
• Undertake any ad‑hoc admin duties/responsibilities as and when required.

Requirements

• Possess at least a Diploma, Advanced/Higher/Graduate Diploma, and Bachelor’s Degree, Post Graduate Diploma or Professional Degree in Oil & Gas Engineering Technology.
• Sound technical knowledge of Oil and Gas Industry.
• Required Language(s): English, Malay.
• Possess good working attitude & have strong sense of responsibility with self-discipline.
• Ability to perform off-hour coverage as required.
