Brighttail is a growing B2B marketing agency looking for an experienced WordPress Developer to develop high-performance custom WordPress websites for high-tech and SaaS B2B businesses.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to build uniquely designed websites with modern design trends. You should be a conscientious web developer who takes pride in writing lean, easy-to-maintain code, and a team player who can work closely with our multidisciplinary team to deliver the best results.

Responsibilities

• Code and build custom WordPress websites according to the design mockup
• Implement new pages and features on clients’ websites
• Troubleshoot errors emerging from websites and replace solutions when necessary
• Ensure websites are developed in accordance to core web vitals optimization best practices
• Communicate with Creative team on design concepts to ensure they are precisely implemented to websites
• Work closely with Marketing Automation team to implement MA solutions on websites
• Ensure changes on the website source codes are tracked on our Bitbucket repositories
• Perform periodic code refactoring and migration to new technologies on existing websites
• Participate in scrums to contribute ideas from development perspective

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a similar field
• At least three years of professional web development experience
• Proven work experience in custom theme development in WordPress
• Able to build a theme from scratch without relying on any premade theme
• Solid knowledge in WordPress and Bootstrap framework
• Experienced with Advanced Custom Fields
• Use Local for local WordPress development, and Git for source code management
• Knowledge in React.js is a bonus
• Good design sense with a keen eye for detail; passionate about crafting engaging responsive websites
• Performance-centric; know the best practices of building a website that performs well on both mobile and desktop
• Good debugging skills; able to get to the bottom of a problem to solve it
