Job description

Wildlife Assistant/Trainee work in managing the animals of reptiles and birds, closely monitoring animal diet, husbandry, health care, enrichments and other related tasks, works closely with animal keepers of the department and cooperate with other divisions in Melaka Butterfly & Reptile Sanctuary.

The candidate will:

• Responsible to maintain the highest standards related to the day-to-day operations, including, but not limited to, animal welfare and enrichment, feedback, exhibit maintenance and the guest experience.
• Candidate must be able to work effectively with minimal supervision and approach all encounters with employees in a friendly, service-oriented professional manner.
• Interaction with the public which may include on and off grounds in-house educational programs.

Desired skill:

• Animal lover, fun and innovative.
• Diploma (or equivalent) or degree from a recognized college or university are required in zoology, biology, animal science or related field is preferred.
