Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise welding maintenance technicians and fitters.
• Plan daily, weekly, and monthly work schedules for maintenance.
• Delegate tasks based on technician skill levels and job priority.
• Ensure work is completed efficiently, safely, and within timelines.
• Review technician work reports and performance.
• Approve work orders, checklists, and time sheets.
• Conduct daily toolbox meetings and safety briefings.
• Provide technical support to resolve escalated welding issues.
• Monitor attendance, discipline, and workforce morale.
• Conduct training needs assessments for the maintenance team.
• Coach and mentor junior technicians and apprentices.
• Coordinate shift coverage for continuous welding support.
• Oversee third-party contractors and ensure quality control.
• Maintain a balanced workload among team members.
