Job summary

A leading technology firm in Johor, Malaysia seeks a Warehouse Operations Supervisor to oversee daily warehousing activities. Job Summary:
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Report to upper management and collaborate with internal WH team to achieve goals and overcome obstacles.
  • Familiar with warehouse WIP/SOP. Foresee problems to prevent mistakes and coach new hires.
  • Monitor efficiency and quality of staff to complete daily work on time.
  • Find and resolve common mistakes and errors during daily operation.
  • Supervise teammates to make sure they meet SMCI core values - Quality/Productivity/ Teamwork/Job Knowledge/Work Environment-Health, Safety& Security/Reliability & Dependability.
  • Propose both process and system improvement plan to upper management in order to achieve excellence.

In Inventory team:

  • Lead staff to correctly enter cargo data, including Date code, batch, revision, and COO into E-Logbook for inventory control.
  • Ensure the daily orders are correctly processed and transferred in time to achieve KPI.
  • Supervise the quarterly scrap program to complete in time.
  • Monitor daily cycle count and annual physical count progress for stock accuracy.

In Trucking/Packing:

  • Lead staff to complete daily orders and ship out on time per sales shipment plan.
  • Check and make sure the products from inventory are consistent with orders and match special handling requests from customer.
  • Oversaw daily shipment released to truckers and comply with revenue recognition rule.
Qualifications:
  • High school graduation or equivalent is required; candidates with a bachelor’s degree or higher in Logistics, Supply Chain, Business Administration, Operation Management or related field is preferred and considered an added advantage; candidates with relevant warehouse operation experience are encouraged to apply.
  • Around 5 years of experience in warehouse operation or a similar logistic environment is preferable.
  • Familiarity or working exposure to ERP systems (e.g., SAP or equivalent) and Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) are preferred and considered an advantage to the candidate.
  • Possession of a valid forklift safe handling certificate is strongly preferred; candidates willing to obtain or renew the certification will be viewed positively.
  • Ability to communicate in one or more of the following languages—Bahasa Malaysia, English or Chinese—is preferred, with additional language capability being value-added.
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications (e.g., Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint) is preferred.
  • Demonstrates attention to detail and the ability to perform effectively in fast-paced or time-sensitive situations, which is an advantage.
  • Good interpersonal and coordination skills to work effectively with internal and external stakeholders are desirable.
  • Leadership capability or potential to guide and motivate warehouse team members to achieve operational goals is preferred.
  • Demonstrates fairness, ethical behavior, and integrity in daily operations and people management, which is considered a core value-added attribute.
Salary Range

MYR: 4000++/ Mon.
