Job description

The Warehouse Manager is responsible for overseeing all warehouse operations in a manufacturing plant, including receiving, storage, inventory control, and dispatch of raw materials, and finished goods. The role ensures timely material availability for production, accurate inventory records, safe warehouse practices. The Warehouse Manager leads the warehouse team, coordinates with production, procurement, and drives efficiency, compliance, and cost control.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee daily warehouse operations including receiving, picking and delivery.
• Maintain accurate inventory records for raw materials, WIP, and finished goods.
• Lead, train and supervise warehouse staff.
• Enforce warehouse safety standards, SOPs, and good housekeeping practices (5S).
• Ensure proper use of ERP/WMS systems for inventory tracking and reporting. Prepare regular reports on inventory accuracy, warehouse KPIs, and operational performance.
• Coordinate with Production, Procurement, Quality, and Finance departments. Manage external transporters for inward collection and outward delivery of goods.
• Identify opportunities to improve warehouse productivity and reduce handling costs. Implement best practices in inventory control, material handling, and space optimization.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Industrial Engineering, or related field.
• 3 to 5 years of warehouse or inventory management experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong knowledge of inventory control, ERP/WMS systems, and warehouse operations.
• Strong leadership and people management skills.
• Analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Knowledge of manufacturing processes and material flow.
• Good communication and coordination skills.
• Proficiency in ERP systems and MS Office.
• Strong focus on safety, accuracy, and continuous improvement.
