Job summary

A logistics and warehousing company based in Malaysia is looking for a Warehouse Operations Manager. The role includes overseeing daily warehouse operations, ensuring safety protocols, managing stock control, and resolving logistical issues. Candidates should possess at least a diploma in logistic management and 1-2 years of relevant experience. Good communication skills in English and Bahasa Malaysia are essential. This position requires a proactive mindset for continuous improvements in operations.

Responsibilities
  • Ensure adherence to standard operating procedures (SOPs).
  • Warehouse Operations
  • Oversee and manage all warehouse activities to ensure smooth and efficient operations.
  • Plan and control overall warehouse activities.
  • Provide up to date stock in warehouse info.
  • Improve and meet delivery time line. Manage communication with DJI HQ logistics on allocation as per order, shipment, damaged pellets, warranty replacement/after sales service centre parts all are as planned.
  • Provide up to date stock in warehouse info.
  • implement stock pickup from warehouse for small orders, ASC repaired equipment and warranty support.
  • Safety and Health
  • Ensure that all safety and health requirements are met within the warehouse.
  • Sirim and Special Permit. Liaise with Sirim department to ensure lab test and approval to be timely. Documentations must be completed before submission to prevent delays.
  • Ensure proper bundling of drones and accessories at bonded warehouse prior to custom clearance.
  • Ensure proper HS Code being declared. Proper bundled or packing to multiple resellers as shipment will not land in our warehouse.
  • Coordinate with key reseller’s logistics for large shipments (direct from port to their warehouse). Ensure proper GRN done on site with right stock/qty to customer warehouse.
  • Liaise with the government (Royal Custom Malaysia) or other related agencies to ensure shipments reach their final destination for export and reach factory as per schedule for import
  • Stock Management
  • Manage stock control and reconcile with data storage systems.
  • Monthly update on warehouse balance stock status, including out-of-stock (OOS), discontinued items, slow-moving items, etc., in collaboration with the purchaser.
  • Problem Resolution
  • Resolve arising problems or complaints, particularly those related to foreign workers.
  • Maintain housekeeping standards in the warehouse
  • Reporting
  • Maintain and manage reports related to the warehouse, including inventory of stocks, dead stock, consumption, and manpower.
  • Perform weekly warehouse briefings before starting operations.
  • Liaise with vendors, transporters, and other stakeholders to ensure timely deliveries and efficient logistics operations.
  • Address any issues related to shipments, returns, and damaged goods.
  • Additional Duties
  • Assist with other ad-hoc duties as assigned by the manager or management.
Job Requirements
  • At least a Diploma/Professional Certificate/Degree in Warehouse / Logistic Management or equivalent.
  • Minimum 1-2 years’ working experience in similar capacity or related field.
  • Computer literate and has knowledge of MS Office, familiar with SAP system is an added advantage.
  • Possess strong background in warehousing and logistic.
  • Possess a strong sense of responsibility, urgency and commitment to efficiently meet deadlines.
  • Possess good leadership, communication skills and able to work with Management and all levels of employees.
  • Possess a pro‑active character for continuous improvement and changes of operations in the warehouse.
  • Able to work independently, meet tight deadlines, and work under pressure with minimum supervision.
  • Excellent command of English and Bahasa Malaysia both verbal and written skills.
  • Approachable with a pleasant disposition, resourceful, initiative, able to multi‑task. Able to work independently and under pressure.
