Job summary

A logistics company in Malaysia is seeking a seasoned professional to lead their supply chain management team. The ideal candidate will oversee distribution operations, ensure compliance with quality standards, and manage inventory effectively. Applicants should hold a degree or diploma, possess five years of logistics experience, and be fluent in English and Bahasa Malaysia, with Mandarin being an advantage.

Qualifications

• Minimum five years of experience in store-keeping, distribution or logistics.
• Supervision experience with at least two staff members.
• Ability to converse in English and Bahasa Malaysia, Mandarin is a plus.

Job description

To implement distribution operations by liaising with transporters, shipping agencies, contractors for delivery requirements which includes correct documentation and assembly of goods.

To assist in negotiating terms of contracts with transporters to meet budget.

To manage inventory of finished goods by playing a major role in coordinating customer, sales & marketing requirements with production & delivery schedules.

To ensure standard operating procedures are available and updated for all operations in warehouse.

To implement security procedures to safeguard goods and materials in warehouse.

To provide leadership for SCM team to meet productivity targets. Supervise and train SCM staff for correct handling of goods, storage, assembly and distribution.

To ensure compliance with Standard Operating Procedures for ISO Quality System and cGMP Standards.

To follow-up on full maintenance and all administration issues of the Company’s van and forklift.

Tomanage shipping functions, documentation and cargo handling for all company’s export goods.

To oversee functions in Label & Coding Section.

To stop the operation and inform superior if detect any abnormality and deviation that can cause impact to the identity, quality, purity and efficacy of product.

A Degree/Diploma or equivalent.

Have five or more years of experience in store-keeping, distribution or logistics in a manufacturing or consumable goods operation.

Have experience in supervision work for more than two staffs.

Ability to read, write and converse in English and Bahasa Malaysia.

Conversant in Mandarin and other dialect is an added advantage.
