Job summary

A leading steel company in Malaysia is seeking a qualified UT Technician to conduct ultrasonic testing and inspections during coil processes. The successful candidate will communicate with the Spiral Machine team about welding conditions and must have relevant certifications, like ASNT Level II in ultrasonic testing. Candidates should be physically able to handle equipment, possess strong interpretation skills for technical drawings, and have a minimum of 2 years of experience as a UT technician. This position requires both technical proficiency and effective communication skills.

Qualifications

• Competent in conducting Ultrasonic Testing and proficient in handling UT equipment.
• Relevant certificates such as ASNT Level II in ultrasonic testing.
• Physical ability to handle equipment and perform tasks that may involve standing, bending, or making repetitive motions.
• Understanding of relevant codes, standards, and Company procedures.
• Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications.
• 2 years of experience as a UT technician (added advantage).

Responsibilities

• Conduct UTTG and inspection during coil joint.
• Conduct UTTG and inspection during coil receiving.
• Communicate with Spiral Machine team regarding welding condition.
