Job Description:
Implement and monitor site-specific Traffic Management Plans (TMPs).
Direct and control vehicle and pedestrian traffic at construction access points.
Install, maintain, and remove traffic control signs, barricades, cones, and barriers as required.
Ensure the safety of all road users, construction workers, and the public around work zones.
Monitor traffic conditions and adjust control measures as needed to prevent congestion or hazards.
Coordinate with delivery drivers, subcontractors, and logistics personnel for site access.
Report any incidents, near-misses, or unsafe traffic conditions to site management.
Conduct routine inspections of traffic signage, barriers, and control systems.
Communicate effectively with team members, including via two-way radio or hand signals.
Assist in emergency response situations and ensure emergency vehicle access at all times.
Support compliance with local traffic regulations, site safety procedures, and environmental considerations.
Job Requirements:
SPM, diploma or equivalent required.
Valid Traffic Control Certification (e.g., flagger or stop/slow license) as required by local regulations.
Minimum 1 year experience in traffic control or site logistics, preferably in construction.
Familiarity with construction site safety protocols and road safety regulations.
Ability to read and understand Traffic Management Plans and site layouts.
Strong situational awareness and attention to detail.
Ability to remain alert and focused in high-traffic environments.
Physically fit and able to stand for extended periods and work in all weather conditions.
Outdoor work on active construction sites and adjacent public roadways.
