A leading personal care company in Subang Jaya is seeking a Trade Marketing Manager to develop and execute marketing strategies that align with brand objectives. The ideal candidate should have at least five years of experience in a commercial role, strong analytical skills, and a passion for handling trade promotions. Responsibilities include developing go-to-market strategies, managing budgets, and working collaboratively across teams to enhance sales performance. Proficiency in English and Bahasa Malaysia is required.

Job description

We are looking for a hands-on, collaborative candidate with experience in the personal care industry with the responsibility to protect and grow a personal care business. This role will be responsible for developing and executing trade marketing strategies that align with brand objectives, enhance shopper engagement, and deliver commercial growth.

The ideal candidate possesses a strong understanding of both marketing and sales functions, with a deep knowledge of the retail landscape in the personal care industry. They will lead the planning and execution of trade campaigns, promotions, merchandising initiatives, and category management strategies across multiple channels including but not limited to general e-commerce, modern trade and specialty stores. These responsibilities will include overseeing the total orders to be in line with these activities.

Job Responsibilities
  1. New Products: Go to market strategy and product demand planning
    • Assesses market competition by comparing the company's product to competitors' products
    • Analyze new product offers & promotion product offers, reviewing its features & benefit to recommend to appropriate forecasts of new products.
    • Submit order and obtain approval within datelines given
    • Determines product pricing by utilizing market research data (competitor’s price) and current/existing products anticipating volume; costing and ordered quantity.
    • Set pricing to meet revenue and profitability goals
  2. Promotions & ROI Analysis
    • Oversee the development, execution, and post-evaluation of trade promotions and activities.
    • Track and analyse performance to optimise investment and improve ROI.
    • To present results at all relevant meetings
  3. Budget & Forecasting – Marketing & Core products
    • Manage & set the trade marketing budget, by working together with top management, ensuring effective allocation of resources to high-impact initiatives.
    • Support accurate demand forecasting of new and current products through close coordination with sales and supply chain teams.
  4. Inventory and Supply Chain
    • Allocation of product assortment delivered consistently and supplied in appropriate volumes to meet demand.
    • Keeping close tabs on delivery schedules & liaising with relevant parties on delivery commitment
  5. Event Plan and Promotion execution
    • To plan and effectively implement promotional campaigns to enhance healthy sales performance
    • Manage NPD by working with cross functional team (Marketing, Visual Merchandise, Retail & Supply Chain) progress and ensure timely launch of NPD within objectives and timeline.
    • Preparation of promo summary as a tool of communication to stores to highlights instore promotion, product display & introduction of new products.
    • Implementation of promotion codes
    • Promotion setting for Kiosk, new shop opening & workshops
    • Negotiation with customers by given a corporate discount based on requirements.
    • Developing promotional strategy for products in-store and online
Requirements
  • Candidate must possess at least a Diploma / Degree in any related field;
  • Preferablywith five (5) years’ work experience in commercial or any related work;
  • Matured personality with good interpersonal and communication skills with strong analytical mind;
  • Able to work independently withpositiveattitude;
  • Passionate and pro-active in handling tasks and tight datelines;
  • Computer literate and proficient in English and Bahasa Malaysia both spoken and written;
