Job description
Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with project stakeholders and vendors to lead, develop and deliver Master Test Strategy & Plan.
  • Review System Integration Test (SIT), QA UAT & User Acceptance Test (UAT) approach and strategy for the respective application to develop end‑to‑end test strategy.
  • Lead and manage the following activities for all impacted systems:
    1. Test cases preparation & execution
    2. Test data preparation including Test User Management (user creation, access management)
    3. Data migration preparation & execution
    4. Performance & Stress test preparation & execution
    5. Dry Run test preparation & execution
    6. Operation Readiness Testing preparation & execution
    7. Non‑functional Test preparation & execution
    8. Product configurations Testing (Proof of Concept)
    9. Prepare Product Application on Test Environment
  • Lead, coordinate, manage and monitor SIT, QA & UAT process:
    1. Manage and govern end to end testing providing quality assurance
    2. Manage, track & triage defects and issues until closure
    3. Track and prioritize the daily testing execution progress and defect status.
    4. Conduct daily checkpoint meeting to update testing status & progress
    5. Prepare and publish reporting dashboard on overall test management tracking status and progress
  • Lead & manage testing environment readiness and configuration changes.
  • Schedule cross team meetings (if required) for complex defects/issues.
  • Understand the testing effort by analyzing the requirements of project.
  • Estimate and obtain management support for the time, resources and budget required to perform the testing.
  • Organize the testing kick‑off meeting.
  • Define the strategy.
  • Build a testing team of professionals with appropriate skills, attitudes and motivation.
  • Identify training requirements and forward them to the Project Manager (technical and soft‑skills).
  • Develop the test plan for the tasks, dependencies and participants required to mitigate the risks to system quality and obtain stakeholder support for this plan.
  • Arrange the hardware and software requirements for the test setup.
  • Assign tasks to all testing team members and ensure they have sufficient work in the project.
  • Ensure content and structure of all testing documents/artifacts is documented and maintained.
  • Document, implement, monitor, and enforce all processes for testing as per standards defined by the organization.
  • Check / review the test case documents.
  • Keep track of new requirements / change in requirements of the project.
  • Escalate issues about project requirements (software, hardware, resources) to Project Manager.
  • Organize status meetings and send the status report (daily, weekly etc.).
  • Attend the regular call and discuss the weekly status with the client.
  • Communicate with the vendor (if required).
  • Act as the single point of contact between developers and testers.
  • Track and prepare the report of testing activities like test results, test case coverage, required resources, defects discovered and their status, performance baselines etc.
  • Review various reports prepared by test engineers.
  • Ensure timely delivery of different testing milestones.
  • Prepare / update the metrics dashboard at the end of a phase or at the completion of the project.
Qualifications
  • 5+ years experience in QA Lead, Test Lead or Test Manager capacity.
  • Strong understanding of large IT project management, integration and/or business application QA testing.
  • Demonstrated experience leading testing for Charging & Billing, CRM.
  • Charging & Billing upgrade experience required.
  • Expert level experience with Client Quality Center/ALM, JIRA, Rally or other test management tools.
  • Telco experience is preferred.
  • Must be disciplined, self‑starter and have the ability to execute on assignments independently.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Attention to detail with superior written, verbal and problem‑solving skills.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Strong capacity for operating in a flexible, dynamic environment where creative and strategic thinking is required.
  • Ability to work with demanding users in a high-pressure environment.
  • Ability to multi‑task is essential.
