Job summary

A prominent technology firm in Johor is seeking a Test Engineer to manage laboratory activities, conduct tests, and maintain equipment. The ideal candidate will hold a degree in engineering and possess at least 3 years of experience in testing, preferably in manufacturing. Excellent communication skills in Mandarin and proficiency in English & Bahasa Malaysia will be advantageous. This role also involves assessing work instructions and progressing process improvements.

Qualifications

• 3 years of experience in a tester role, preferably in the manufacturing industry.
• Knowledge of industry standards, regulations, and quality control methodologies.
• Fluent in Mandarin; proficiency in English & Bahasa Malaysia is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Maintain lab housekeeping and ensure equipment calibration.
• Perform tests as per procedures and issue test reports.
• Carry out special tests and design testing jigs.
• Keep test machines in optimal condition and assist in troubleshooting.
• Evaluate and establish work instructions for new processes.
• Ensure timely communication of test results to stakeholders.
• Perform additional tasks assigned by the superior.

Job description

What you can look forward to as Test Engineer:

Laboratory Management: Maintain lab housekeeping, ensure rigs and equipment are in good condition and within calibration period, and conduct safety assessments.

Test Execution: Perform tests according to documented procedures, update results, and issue performance test reports to relevant parties.

Special Testing Support: Carry out special tests to meet company or departmental objectives and design testing jigs based on requirements.

Test Equipment Management: Keep test machines in optimal condition, participate in external and internal calibration, and assist in troubleshooting and repairs.

Work Instruction Assessment: Evaluate and establish proper work instructions for new processes or test methods.

Reporting & Communication: Ensure timely and accurate communication of test results and reports to stakeholders.

Other Duties: Perform additional tasks assigned by the superior.

What we're looking for

Degree in Engineering, Quality Assurance, or a related field.
