Job description

onsemiissearchingforanEquipment Maintenance Technicianto supportthe Fabrication Department.Under minimal supervision, this person will be responsible for maintaining and troubleshootinga variety ofmanufacturing &fabrication equipment.The Equipment Maintenance Technician ensures equipment and systems are running efficiently and at optimal capacity to meetmanufacturing &fabrication needs. Thispositionwill report to the Manager of Facilities.

Key Duties and Responsibilities
  • Performs hands‑on preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, diagnosing, and repairing of industrial automated fabrication equipment daily.
  • Documents routine preventive maintenance on PM checklists, records data if applicable and maintains completed checklist/history in tool logbook.
  • Communicates issues with third‑party equipment vendors as needed to expedite troubleshooting and repairs.
  • Sustains and improves Preventative Maintenance Program on all fabrication/processing equipment.
  • Authors accurate documentation for the operation and maintenance of various automated industrial equipment.
  • Tests, tunes, and adjusts equipment to obtain optimum operating performance.
  • Reports spare part requirements.
  • Determines type of repairs to be performed, approves, and suggests modifications to equipment, and analyzes results to evaluate equipment performance.
  • Develops or improves techniques to meet quality, function, and cost standards.
  • Works with electrical systems and electronic components of complex industrial machinery and equipment, following manuals, schematic diagrams, blueprints, and other specifications.
  • Utilizes predictive maintenance technologies to collect equipment performance data, observes trends, and makes recommendations.
  • Has ability to troubleshoot and follow through with repairs of manufacturing equipment and electronic controls.
  • Responsible for performing scheduled and unscheduled preventive maintenance tasks using CMMS system.
  • Responds to unplanned urgent needs in having equipment repairs performed, minimizing downtime.
  • Utilizes a variety of hand and power tools to construct, renovate and repair equipment.
  • Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related duties as requested.
  • Other duties as needed or assigned.
Qualifications
  • Diploma or Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or related field.
  • 2+ years of experience in maintenance and repair of industrial equipment.
  • Able to troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and electronic systems.
  • Knowledge of preventive and predictive maintenance.
  • Can read manuals, diagrams, and blueprints.
  • Familiar with CMMS systems.
  • Good communication and problem‑solving skills.
  • Able to work independently and handle urgent repairs.
  • Physically fit to perform hands‑on tasks using tools.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:

Worker will be paid not less than the minimum wage according to the local applicable law.

Worker will be entitled to all the statutory benefits such as EPF, SOCSO, EIS, HRDF, and Group Insurance.

Working Hours
  • Normal Hours: Monday to Friday: 8.00am – 5.00pm (Please observe your location working hours)
  • Shift Structure: Periodically rotating shift structure. Night Shift : 6.00pm – 6.00am
Overtime Rate:

Overtime hours is any number of hours more than the normal hours of work completed per day.

For overtime on Ordinary Working Day and/or Off Day: rate of one and a half (1.5) times the hourly rate of pay;

For overtime on Rest Day and Public Holiday: minimum of two (2) times the hourly rate of pay.

13 working days on a prorated basis for less than 2 years of service. Max 22 working days for year of service 15+.
