A leading technology solutions provider in Johor Bahru is looking for an HVAC & Clean Utilities Technician. The ideal candidate will ensure optimal operation and maintenance of critical facility systems, including HVAC and clean utilities, in compliance with safety and GMP standards. Responsibilities include performing preventive maintenance, troubleshooting complex system issues, and managing vendor performance. A strong understanding of regulatory requirements and experience in similar roles are essential for success in this position.
The HVAC & Clean Utilities Technician is responsible for the operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of critical facility systems. This role ensures that both comfort-cooling HVAC and high-purity clean utilities (PW, WFI, PSG) operate at peak efficiency and remain in strict compliance with safety, statutory, and GMP standards to support 24/7 manufacturing operations.
Maintenance & Repair: Perform preventive maintenance, seasonal overhauls, and transitions for both pneumatically and digitally controlled HVAC systems.
System Troubleshooting: Evaluate complex system problems and perform major component replacements under the guidance of senior technical leads.
Digital Integration: Execute building system repairs in coordination with the Energy Management and Control System (EMCS) and PLC-based controllers.
High-Purity Systems: Operate and maintain Purified Water (PW), Water for Injection (WFI), and Pure Steam Generators (PSG) to ensure zero unplanned downtime.
Validation Support: Assist in commissioning and validation activities, including Performance Qualification (PQ) and Re-qualification (RQ).
Parameter Monitoring: Diligently record operational parameters in logbooks (PWG, PWS, MCD, etc.) to ensure water quality meets pharmaceutical standards.
Plant Availability: Perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance within the CUB to ensure maximum availability of steam, chilled water, and compressed air.
Vendor Management: Supervise sub-contractors on-site to ensure work is performed according to facility specifications.
Emergency Response: Provide critical support to the Engineering Department during major breakdowns or system failures.
GMP & Quality: Adhere to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and ensure all work is documented for QMS and EHS internal/external audits.
Inventory & Logistics: Update inventory systems for parts and consumables; initiate communication memos for scheduled maintenance activities.
Safety Culture: Actively report unsafe working conditions and strictly follow safety procedures regarding hand/power tool usage and plant hazards.
