Job Summary
The Technical Supervisor is responsible for leading and supervising the Operations Technicians (Ops Tech) to ensure daily operational tasks are executed effectively in compliance with safety, quality, and organizational standards. This role requires hands-on supervision, task organization, performance monitoring, and continuous improvement of processes to meet departmental KPIs.
Job Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise Ops Techs by assigning and monitoring daily operational tasks to achieve safety, quality, and productivity objectives.
- Ensure responsible areas consistently meet 6S expectations and departmental requirements.
- Conduct Daily Task Meetings to arrange, communicate, and review Ops Tech assignments.
- Supervise and organize the execution of daily tasks, including:
- Product cycle runs.
- Qualification and development loadings aligned with department KPIs such as LIPAS, HSD closure, and quality targets.
- Manage team work schedules, attendance, compliance with company/site regulations, including COVID-19 SOPs, shift coverage, and performance standards.
- Maintain Ops Tech competency through structured training and certification programs.
- Prepare, update, and coordinate daily operational indicators and Gyat reports, ensuring accurate data is maintained for bi-weekly reviews.
- Investigate and resolve quality-related issues (AAR), participate in Quality Meetings, and drive corrective actions.
- Monitor and ensure availability of collaterals, replacement parts, and resources required for smooth operations.
- Promote a culture of teamwork, safety, and continuous improvement within the team.
Job Requirements
- Diploma/Degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics, Manufacturing, or related field) or equivalent technical qualification.
- Minimum 3–5 years of working experience in a technical or operations supervisory role, preferably in the semiconductor, electronics, or manufacturing industry.
- Hands-on experience leading technicians/operators in daily operations.
- Strong knowledge of manufacturing operations, product cycle management, and quality processes.
- Familiarity with 6S, safety standards, and compliance requirements.
- Proficiency in reporting, data analysis, and use of operational indicators.
- Strong leadership, supervisory, and team management skills.
- Good communication, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
- Ability to multitask, work under pressure, and adapt to changing priorities.
- Willing to work shifts or extended hours when required.
- Strong commitment to workplace safety and compliance.
