Overview

We are seeking a highly motivated Technical Service & Support Engineer to join our growing team. In this role, you will be a key technical partner to our customers and internal teams, delivering high-quality application support, problem-solving expertise, and professional customer engagement across Malaysia and Singapore.

This position is ideal for engineers with strong hands-on experience in industrial and factory automation, system integration, machine building, and the broader automation and control ecosystem, who are accustomed to working in real manufacturing environments and are passionate about delivering excellent technical service while building long-term customer relationships.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide professional technical support to internal teams and external customers, including face-to-face engagement
  • Support product selection, application discussions, and technical solution proposals
  • Handle customer enquiries through service desk tickets, email, online Microsoft Teams meetings and phone
  • Prepare, document, and maintain technical cases, reports, and solutions
  • Conduct on-site technical support activities, including: technical meetings, application consulting, product introductions, demonstrations, integration, proposal and application presentations
  • Work closely with the sales team to support customer activities and engagements
  • Participate in technical and promotional activities such as webinars and live product demonstrations
  • Travel locally and regionally (Malaysia & Singapore) to support customer projects and engagements
Experience & Qualification
  • Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, Automation, or related disciplines
  • Industry Experience: Minimum 3 years of experience in industrial automation or related industries
  • 5+ years of experience will be highly preferred
  • Strong hands-on exposure in real factory environments is essential
  • Ideal Backgrounds Include: Automation machine builders and control system manufacturers; System integrators and automation solution providers; Industrial automation component suppliers or distributors (technical/application roles)
  • Technical Skills: PLC skills, familiar with one or more PLC programming environments (e.g., Siemens, Omron, A-B, Mitsubishi, Beckhoff); familiarity with tools and platforms such as Node-RED, CODESYS, VB/C#, JSON, or similar automation and programming environments
  • Communication & Language: Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English; strong presentation skills for technical and application proposals; Mandarin proficiency is an added advantage
  • Personal & Professional Attributes: Strong problem-solving and service-oriented mindset; comfortable working hands-on in industrial and factory automation environments; calm, structured, and professional when handling urgent technical issues; confident in customer-facing technical discussions and presentations; self-driven, proactive, and committed to continuous learning; able to work independently while collaborating effectively with sales and technical teams; high sense of accountability, ownership, and responsibility; forward-thinking and results-driven with a strong business development mindset; willing and able to travel within Malaysia and Singapore
