Job Title: Product Management Engineer
Job Overview:
Provide pro-active customer orientated services and responsible for building up a business through gaining new customer and core customer market share.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Oversee the management of assigned customer accounts.
- Achieve revenue and organic growth targets.
- Handle RFQs, pricing, legal matters, and negotiations within designated areas.
- Drive the customer/account P&L, focusing on sales, margins, mark-ups, contribution goals, inventory goals, and other cost drivers.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with customers through timely and accurate data sharing.
- Serve as the primary communication channel for customers and manage escalations.
- Provide engineering processes knowledge during feasibility assessments for customer requests and proposed changes.
- Lead customer programs and cross-functional management, collaborating with project managers to meet customer requirements and objectives (e.g., VA/VE, NPI, Transfer programs).
- Collaborate with design, R&D, and process engineering teams to ensure product manufacturability and alignment with customer technical requirements.
- Coordinate and host customer visits, audits, and technical reviews.
- Identify and develop new business opportunities through market research and lead generation.
- Collaborate with the ASE global sales team to identify and drive opportunities.
- Work with NPI lead to oversee NPI progress to meet customer NPI & Mass Production schedule
- Responsible for materials liability claims and other related commercial claims from customers.
Qualification & Experience:
- Bachelor’s Degree with at least 3 years of experience in program management / engineering / or new product introduction (NPI), preferably in the semiconductor or electronics industry.
- Strong self-motivation and able to work independently as well as in a team.
- Good presentation and communication skills, including preparing materials for meetings.
- Comfortable communicating with people at all levels, including senior management.
- Fluent in English and Mandarin to support regional customers in Asia or Europe.
- Able to manage multiple tasks, solve problems, and adapt to changing priorities.
- Detail-oriented with strong analytical and numerical skills.
- Good understanding of the product development lifecycle and supply chain processes such as forecasting, planning, inventory, manufacturing, and logistics.
