Your Role
This role is responsible for leading and supervising the Safety & Security team to ensure the safety, security and well-being of guests, employees and property at REN. The role includes overseeing day-to-day security operations, enforcing policies, coordinating emergency response and ensuring compliance with safety and security standards.
Key Responsibilities
1. Operations
- Assist the Head of department and Senior Executive in managing daily safety and security operations.
- Support, guide, and supervise security team members to ensure smooth shift operations.
- Conduct regular team briefings, assign duties, and monitor staff performance and discipline.
2. Safety, Security & Compliance
- Ensure effective implementation of safety and security policies, SOPs, and emergency response plans.
- Conduct regular safety inspections, risk assessments, and security patrols throughout the retreat premises.
- Monitor and manage the use of security systems including CCTV, alarm systems, and access controls.
- Ensure compliance with occupational health, safety, and security regulations and company standards.
- Promptly to incidents, accidents, or emergencies in a calm and professional manner.
- Ensure incidents are properly documented, reported, and escalated where necessary.
- Coordinate with local authorities, emergency services, and external stakeholders when required.
- Plan, organize and conduct safety and security training for staff, including safety awareness, fire drills, evacuation procedures, and crisis management.
- Promote a strong safety culture and awareness among all employees.
5. Reporting, Audits & Improvement
- Support the Head of Department in audits, investigations, and corrective action plans.
- Assist in preparing reports, analysis, and recommendations to improve safety and security practices.
- Contribute to strategic planning and continuous improvement initiatives within the department.
Requirements
Education
- Certificate or Diploma in Security Management, Occupational Safety & Health, Risk Management, or a related field.
- Additional certifications in First Aid, Fire Safety, Emergency Response, or Safety & Security Management will be an added advantage.
Experience
- Minimum 3 years of related experience in safety and security operations, preferably within hospitality, wellness, resort.
Skills
- Related knowledge of safety and security procedures, SOPs, emergency response, and risk assessment practices.
- Ability to operate and monitor security systems such as CCTV, alarms, and access control systems.
- Good communication skills and the ability to remain calm during emergencies.
