Job summary

A luxury wellness retreat in Subang Jaya is seeking a Safety & Security Lead to oversee operations and ensure guest and employee safety. Your Role

This role is responsible for leading and supervising the Safety & Security team to ensure the safety, security and well-being of guests, employees and property at REN. The role includes overseeing day-to-day security operations, enforcing policies, coordinating emergency response and ensuring compliance with safety and security standards.

Key Responsibilities
1. Operations
  • Assist the Head of department and Senior Executive in managing daily safety and security operations.
  • Support, guide, and supervise security team members to ensure smooth shift operations.
  • Conduct regular team briefings, assign duties, and monitor staff performance and discipline.
2. Safety, Security & Compliance
  • Ensure effective implementation of safety and security policies, SOPs, and emergency response plans.
  • Conduct regular safety inspections, risk assessments, and security patrols throughout the retreat premises.
  • Monitor and manage the use of security systems including CCTV, alarm systems, and access controls.
  • Ensure compliance with occupational health, safety, and security regulations and company standards.
  • Promptly to incidents, accidents, or emergencies in a calm and professional manner.
  • Ensure incidents are properly documented, reported, and escalated where necessary.
  • Coordinate with local authorities, emergency services, and external stakeholders when required.
  • Plan, organize and conduct safety and security training for staff, including safety awareness, fire drills, evacuation procedures, and crisis management.
  • Promote a strong safety culture and awareness among all employees.
5. Reporting, Audits & Improvement
  • Support the Head of Department in audits, investigations, and corrective action plans.
  • Assist in preparing reports, analysis, and recommendations to improve safety and security practices.
  • Contribute to strategic planning and continuous improvement initiatives within the department.
Requirements
Education
  • Certificate or Diploma in Security Management, Occupational Safety & Health, Risk Management, or a related field.
  • Additional certifications in First Aid, Fire Safety, Emergency Response, or Safety & Security Management will be an added advantage.
Experience
  • Minimum 3 years of related experience in safety and security operations, preferably within hospitality, wellness, resort.
Skills
  • Related knowledge of safety and security procedures, SOPs, emergency response, and risk assessment practices.
  • Ability to operate and monitor security systems such as CCTV, alarms, and access control systems.
  • Good communication skills and the ability to remain calm during emergencies.
