RESPONSIBILITIES :

  • Plan, resource, and deliver a coherent and relevant PSHE curriculum for the Senior School, ensuring alignment with whole‑school expectations, statutory guidance, and student developmental needs.
  • Work closely with the Head of Pastoral Care and Pastoral Leads to design, coordinate, and implement PSHE‑related initiatives, including assemblies, themed weeks, workshops, and awareness campaigns.
  • Create supportive, inclusive, and engaging learning environments that promote student wellbeing, personal development, and social responsibility.
  • Monitor, assess, and track student progress in accordance with school policies, ensuring timely and constructive feedback.
  • Contribute actively to the wider pastoral programme, supporting whole‑school wellbeing priorities and safeguarding initiatives.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to ensure consistent pastoral messaging and to embed PSHE themes across the broader curriculum where appropriate.
  • Take initiative regarding personal and professional development, remaining informed about current research, national guidance, and best practice in PSHE and adolescent wellbeing.
  • Participate fully in relevant whole‑school events, enrichment activities, pastoral projects, and lead or support Co‑Curricular Activities (CCAs) as required.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS :

  • A B.Ed. or Degree and PGCE, or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification, with strong subject and pedagogical knowledge related to PSHE, pastoral education, or a closely linked field.
  • At least three years of experience teaching in a Secondary/Senior School setting, with a proven ability to deliver effective PSHE or pastoral‑focused lessons.
  • A track record of outstanding teaching and learning, with the ability to inspire, motivate, and support students in their personal development.
  • A belief that all students have the potential to thrive, and the drive, empathy, and passion to help them develop confidence, resilience, and healthy decision‑making.
  • Experience and willingness to contribute to a diverse pastoral and co‑curriculum programme, including assemblies, wellbeing initiatives, themed weeks, student leadership activities, and running CCAs. Experience in a reputable international school or multicultural educational environment would be highly regarded.

SALARY

The school will offer successful candidates a highly competitive salary package including housing allowance, end of service gratuity, medical insurance and airfares for the teacher, spouse and dependents along with fees remission for up to two dependent children.

The post will be offered subject to satisfactory references, a medical examination, International Child Protection Certificate & successful Background Check.
