A leading healthcare group in Malaysia seeks a Group Tax Manager to oversee tax compliance and coordinate tax matters across international entities. This role requires experience in corporate tax compliance, transfer pricing coordination, and audit support. The successful candidate will contribute to the development of internal tax processes, engage in tax audits, and support the company's strategic projects. This position offers a critical role within a growing international organization.
The Group Tax Manager will serve as the central coordination point for tax matters across the HARPS Group (Parent Company). The role will oversee group-wide tax compliance, transfer pricing coordination, tax reporting, and audit/advisor engagement, working closely with senior leadership and external advisors across multiple jurisdictions. The individual will coordinate tax matters across HARPS Global’s international entities, working closely with external advisors and local finance teams on tax compliance, transfer pricing documentation, audit support, and tax considerations in strategic projects. The key responsibility areas are:
Serve as the central coordination point together with external advisors and local finance teams for tax matters across the Group’s international entities, to ensure timely and accurate corporate tax, indirect tax, and withholding tax filings.
Maintain oversight of the Group’s tax compliance status and support tax-related components of the annual audit process, including any relevant developments in international tax regulations, including BEPS and Pillar Two initiatives.
Act as the initial internal contact for tax considerations in M&A, restructuring, refinancing, and other strategic projects.
Coordinate the preparation and maintenance of TP documentation and periodic transfer pricing adjustments with external advisors.
Support alignment of intercompany transactions and agreements with the Group’s transfer pricing model.
Assist in responding to TP-related queries or audits in collaboration with local teams and advisors across multiple jurisdictions.
Support responses to tax audits, enquiries, and disputes in coordination with local finance teams and external advisors.
Ensure consistent Group positions are documented and communicated through formal channels.
Contribute to improving internal tax processes, documentation discipline, and alignment across the Group’s international footprint.
Support knowledge-sharing and awareness of tax requirements within local finance teams as the Group continues to expand internationally.
