Job Role
This position is responsible for the preparation of accurate and reliable management, tax and financial reports.
Key Accountabilities
- Supporting the preparation of accurate and reliable management, tax and financial reports
- Assisting in local and international tax reporting
- Assisting in tax estimates (initial and revision)
- Preparation of Annual Tax Returns for the Group of Companies and monthly tax installments
- Assisting in the preparation of documentary work relating to corporate secretarial, auditor and other regulatory matters (e.g. transfer pricing reports, tax audits)
- Liaising with tax agents and auditors
- Involved in indirect tax, SST and GST reporting and compliance.
- Supporting CFC reporting to overseas countries
- Ensure compliance requirements are met through organizational and procedural measures including implementation of Group guidelines, performing trainings, monitoring compliance etc.
- Proactively manage health & safety of employees to continuously improve the company's health & safety performance.
- In addition to these functions employees are required to carry out such other duties as may reasonably be required.
Job Dimensions
Responsible for Tax projects/processes on Country-level, reporting to a Head of Tax.
Job Requirements
- Candidate must possess at least a professional Certificate, Bachelor Degree in Finance/ Accountancy or equivalent.
- Minimum 3 - 5 years working experience in Corporate Tax or related field.
- Excellent communication skills, innovative, resourceful and willing to work in a demanding working environment.
- To comply with all aspects of the Hanson Compliance Policy.
- To ensure that all the business/operations are performed in accordance with instructions and procedures and in such a way so as to prevent any fraudulent activities taking place.
- To comply with the Occupational Safety and Health Act 1994 (Act 514) and to observe the requirements of the Company Health Safety and Environment Policy and other relevant legislation.
- To update all areas of knowledge as required to carry out the job with maximum effectiveness and to attend training/development courses as and when required.
- To comply with all aspects of the HR Policies and Procedures of the Company.
- To assume responsibility for those aspects of the OH&S management system over which they have control
- To participate in the development, planning, implementation, performance evaluation, and actions (PDCA) for improvement of the OH&S management system.
- To report any incident involving own self, co-workers, contractors involving machineries or mobile machine whilst at the workplace to your immediate superior & (HSE Manager) as soon as reasonably practicable.
- To report any commuting to work accident as soon as reasonably practicable to your immediate superior & HSE Manager.
- To comply with procedures as required under current existing ISO standards.
