Job summary

A finance and accounting firm in Malaysia is looking for an Accounting Intern to assist in handling full sets of accounts. Responsibilities include managing accounts receivable and payable, performing office administration duties, and preparing tax computations. Fresh graduates and internship students are encouraged to apply, and guidance will be provided. The ideal candidate should possess good interpersonal and communication skills, along with proficiency in MS Office and Excel.

Qualifications

  • Fresh graduates from diploma or degree in Accounting are welcome.
  • Ability to handle a full set of accounts with guidance.
  • Must be self-motivated and possess good interpersonal and communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Handle full set of accounts including Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable.
  • Manage document filing and record keeping.
  • Perform general office administration duties.
  • Prepare monthly bank reconciliations and handle inter-company transactions.
  • Assist the Account Manager with assigned duties.
  • Prepare tax computations and assist in tax compliance.

Requirements
  • Candidate must possess at least Diploma/Advanced/Higher/Graduate Diploma in Accounting and able to use basic MS office/Excel or equivalent.
  • Self-motivated
  • Good interpersonal & communication skills
  • Fresh graduate from diploma or degree in Accounting are welcome and encouraged to apply
  • Able to handle full set of account (guidance will be provided)
  • Internship students welcome with training allowance ranging from RM 800 - 1,200
Scopes
  • Handle full set of accounts, including Accounts Receivable (AR) and Accounts Payable (AP)
  • Manage document filing, record keeping, and ensure accurate documentation
  • Perform general office administration duties
  • Prepare monthly bank reconciliations
  • Handle inter-company transactions and ensure reconciling items are properly followed up
  • Ensure accounting records and systems comply with company policies, approved accounting standards, and statutory requirements
  • Assist the Account Manager and perform other duties as assigned
  • Complete assignments with minimal supervision
  • Work independently and meet deadlines
  • Prepare tax computations and related tax schedules
  • Assist in tax compliance matters and submissions
