As Japan faces ongoing challenges from an aging and shrinking population, expanding overseas operations has become essential for Japanese consumer business companies aiming for sustained growth. Southeast Asia stands out as a key region for Japanese consumer-focused companies. The region presents a competitive environment where local leaders and major global players compete; establishing and expanding Japanese consumer businesses in this market requires careful strategy and execution.

The following are examples of key themes in our Operations, Industry & Domain Solutions (OI&DS) projects for Japanese companies in Southeast Asia:

Your role and leadership

As a Manager, you will demonstrate leadership in a mixed team of local and JCS members, managing projects while using personal strengths to support project and client development.

Requirements
  • Extensive consulting experience in strategy and operations within the consumer goods and food & beverage industries
  • Focus areas include growth strategy, mid-term planning, sales transformation, marketing, and supply chain management (SCM) reform
  • Channel strategy (including omnichannel approaches)
  • Development of global strategy and operational structures
  • Proven track record of contributing to securing projects through proposal activities
  • Experience in leading projects
  • Native level Japanese and business level English or native level English and business level Japanese
  • In-depth consulting experience in a specific industry (technology, consumer, manufacturing, etc.)
  • Southeast Asia related consulting experience
