Role Description
This is a full‑time, on‑site role located in Selangor, Shah Alam for an Information Technology & Systems Manager. The Information Technology & Systems Manager will be responsible for overseeing system administration, providing technical support, troubleshooting, and ensuring network security. Additional responsibilities include optimizing IT infrastructure, managing IT projects, and collaborating with various departments to support their technology needs.
Key Responsibilities
- Ownership of the JD Edwards ERP system across all business functions (Finance, Supply Chain, Manufacturing, HR, Marketing, Procurement, etc.).
- System configuration, administration, and upgrades – ensuring JDE remains current, stable, and aligned with evolving business needs.
- End‑to‑end process mapping – analysing and optimising workflows within JDE to ensure maximum efficiency.
- Module expertise – act as subject matter expert for core JDE modules, providing guidance and support to business users.
- User access & security – ensure proper role‑based access controls and compliance with IT audit requirements.
- Data integrity & reporting – maintain data accuracy, develop dashboards, and enable business intelligence through JDE reporting tools.
- Troubleshooting & problem resolution – lead resolution of system issues, liaise with Oracle support, and coordinate fixes/patches.
- Integration management – oversee JDE integration with other applications (CRM, WMS, HR systems, 3rd party logistics, banking interfaces, etc.).
- ERP training & adoption – develop training materials, conduct workshops, and ensure smooth onboarding for new users.
- IT Infrastructure & Systems – oversee network, servers, databases, and cloud environments to ensure high availability and performance.
- System security, backups, disaster recovery, & business continuity planning – manage secure operations and resilience.
- Compliance – maintain adherence to data protection, cybersecurity, and regulatory requirements.
- Technology evaluation – evaluate and recommend new technologies, system upgrades, and digital transformation initiatives.
- Project & Change Management – lead ERP‑related projects such as system upgrades, module rollouts, and process automation.
- Project planning – develop project plans, budgets, and timelines; monitor progress and ensure successful delivery.
- Stakeholder coordination – gather requirements, prioritise enhancements, and align IT strategy with business objectives.
- Vendor management – manage relationships with Oracle, system integrators, and consultants to ensure quality and cost‑effective services.
- Change management & continuous improvement – champion smooth adoption of new processes and technologies.
- Team leadership – lead and mentor a team of support staff.
- Policy definition – define IT policies, standard operating procedures, and best practices.
- Escalation support – provide Tier 2/3 escalation support for ERP and IT‑related issues.
- Customer‑service culture – build a culture of accountability and proactive problem‑solving.
Qualifications & Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field (Master’s degree preferred).
- Minimum 5–10 years of IT/ERP management experience, with at least 5 years of hands‑on expertise in Oracle JD Edwards (EnterpriseOne preferred).
- Strong knowledge of JDE modules (Finance, Distribution, Manufacturing, Procurement, HR, etc.).
- Proven track record in ERP implementations, upgrades, and process improvements.
- Solid understanding of IT infrastructure, database management, and system integrations.
- Experience in project management methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, PMP/Prince2 certification a plus).
- Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and leadership skills.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to bridge between technical teams and business stakeholders.
