Job summary

A global technology company in Malaysia is seeking a Firmware Engineer responsible for developing and validating firmware, maintaining CI/CD pipelines, and providing technical support to engineers and customers. The ideal candidate should hold a BS/MS in Computer Science or EE, with at least 2 years of embedded firmware or low-level driver test development experience. Proficiency in Python and C/C++ is required along with strong problem-solving and communication skills.

Qualifications

  • 2+ years of experience in Embedded FW and/or low-level driver Test development.
  • Working knowledge of Windows software Test development including drivers and services.
  • Hands-on experience with Python and C/C++.
  • Experience with CI/CD and infrastructure automation.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and validate firmware and driver codes.
  • Maintain CI/CD pipelines for automated testing and deployment.
  • Provide technical support to engineers and end customers.

Accountabilities:

  • Develop automated Test and validate FW and driver codes, perform regression testing on software components and FPGA‑based system solutions expanding into various verticals including Vision and AI, server security, industrial automation, communications and automotive.
  • Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines for automated builds, tests, and deployments.
  • Providing technical support to Field Applications Engineers and end customers on issues they encounter while integrating Lattice solutions in their system.

Qualifications:

  • BS/MS in Computer Science/EE with 2+ years of experience in Embedded FW and/or low‑level driver Test development.
  • Working level understanding of Windows software Test development including driver, service, library and application software.
  • Good knowledge and hands‑on experience in Python, C/C++.
  • Good Knowledge of FPGA design flow and development tools is an advantage.
  • Good Knowledge of RISC‑V systems is an advantage.
  • Experience using embedded development tools, logic analyzer, I2C/SPI analyzer, USB analyzer
  • Understanding of CI/CD concepts and infrastructure automation.
  • Problem solver and creative thinker, ability to transform ideas from research articles into working solutions for real‑world problems
  • Outstanding English communication skills, both written and verbal required.
  • Must be able to work independently and in a team environment.
