Overview
Serve as a key technical engineer for the operation and administration of internal and external platforms and projects, including the infrastructure, monitoring, migration, expansion, and integration with new and existing systems.
Responsibilities
- Manage and coordinate operational incident management and reporting, act as the subject matter expert to support highly complex system-related incidents, problems, and security matters.
- Takes ownership of infrastructure platform issues (as part of a team) and works with 3rd Parties, internal operations support, and, where appropriate, determines a strategic approach to resolution.
- Perform preventive maintenance and carry out related project tasks.
- Technical projects through the project life-cycle, ensuring that projects are completed on time.
- Architecture, design, configuration, installation, and documentation of existing and new systems.
- Ensure SOP, Checklist, and Asset Inventory are updated regularly.
- Manage and Implement Service and Change requests from internal and external users.
- Help maintain team documentation on processes, how-to, and technical information.
- Provide knowledge transfer and training for the internal team.
- Provide 3rd-level escalation support to the ITO for incidents and problem management.
- Participates in infrastructure consolidation planning, migrations to concentrated sites, and other strategy planning efforts.
- Identify customer needs and make suggestions regarding technical direction.
- Makes recommendations to IT management on direction and utilization of technologies.
- After or extended hours support - "On-call" and "as called" responsibility is expected; a support phone will be provided.
