Job description

You’ll create impact by:
  • System Design & Detailing: Prepare conceptual and detailed hardware designs for 11kV to 275kV Substation Automation System (SAS) solutions, including SLC/RTU/Disturbance Recorder Panels.
  • System Configuration & Parameterization: Design, configure, and parameterize SAS components such as BCU, SICAM PAS/AK3 Gateway/A8000, and SICAM SCC HMI, as well as RTUs and IEDs (including Protection).
  • Testing & Commissioning: Conduct comprehensive testing and commissioning for SAS, DFR, and Power Quality Systems, overseeing the entire project execution lifecycle from design to Site Acceptance Test (SAT).
  • Project Documentation & Reporting: Manage and prepare all required project documentation, including drawings, test logs, Inspection and Test Plans (ITP), and Method of Statements (MOS), and provide project reports to management.
  • Technical Support & Training: Provide essential technical support to Bid, Sales, or Promotion teams for SAS-related documents and conduct product trainings for customers and System Integrators as required.
  • Educational Background: Degree in Electrical, Electronic, Power System, or Computer System Engineering or equivalent.
  • Experience: 3-5 years of working experience in Substation Automation System or SCADA-related projects.
  • Technical Knowledge: Strong knowledge of Substation Automation Systems, Human Machine Interface (HMI), ICT (Computers and LAN), Hardware Panel Design, and general power systems. Familiarity with IEC61850/Modbus Protocol is essential.
  • Product Expertise: Experience with SIEMENS SICAM products is a significant advantage.
  • Skills: Basic Project Management and Technical Writing skills.
  • Language Proficiency: Proficient in English and Malay, both written and oral.
  • Personal Attributes: Excellent troubleshooting skills, good public relations, ability to work under pressure and time constraints, and capable of working effectively both independently and as a collaborative team player.
  • Mobility: Willingness to work at site for extended durations with minimal supervision.
