Job summary

A global technology firm is seeking a Support Engineer in Selangor, Malaysia, to provide exceptional customer service and technical support across its product suite. The role requires excellent English communication skills and relevant technical experience, ideally in Telemetry, SCADA, or PLC. The candidate should have a strong background in customer service and be willing to travel as needed.

Qualifications

  • Experience in a technical support role is essential.
  • Knowledge of Industrial Automation, TCP-IP, and Serial protocol is preferred.
  • Willingness to travel to support customers when necessary.

Responsibilities

  • Provide exceptional customer service across Ovarro's product suite.
  • Assist local and overseas distributors and integrators.
  • Contribute to the technical content of the Ovarro Helpdesk.

Overview

Ovarro has been around for a long time and our tech underpins critical infrastructure across the globe. To support our customers across the APAC region, we are now looking for a Support Engineer. Someone who can work closely with our customers and be the friendly face of Ovarro to our customers. Training and support will be provided to help you with your knowledge of our products.

Responsibilities
  • Supporting our customers across APAC and providing exceptional customer service across the Ovarro product suite – hardware, software, and firmware
  • Being the point of contact to assist both local & overseas distributors and integrators
  • Assisting in onside technical solutions
  • Maintaining and contributing to the technical content of the Ovarro Helpdesk
  • Assisting, when necessary, in the testing of new products, hardware, software, and firmware
Qualifications
  • Excellent written and spoken English language skills is require as you will be working alongside English speaking colleagues
  • Experience in Telemetry/SCADA/PLC will be highly regarded
  • An engineering qualification or experience in a technical area; ideally with Industrial Automation, TCP-IP and Serial protocol experience
  • A product background will be highly regarded
  • Exceptional customer service
  • A background in a technical support role
  • An availability to travel to support our customers where needed
