Job summary

A leading employer in supply chain management is seeking an experienced professional to lead strategic demand forecasting and supply planning. Job description

Responsibilities
  • Lead strategic demand forecasting and supply planning with product management and business units, aligned with HQ and factories.
  • Design and implement optimal supply chain policies from manufacturing to distribution, including hub‑and‑spoke models.
  • Integrate historical data, market trends, and future business plans into demand forecasts.
  • Review, approve, and set limits for demand forecasts.
  • Establish and maintain guidelines for optimal inventory levels and supply continuity.
  • Monitor short‑ and long‑term inventory levels across all product lines.
  • Synchronize end‑to‑end supply chain activities to ensure visibility of demand, production plans, and in‑transit materials.
  • Oversee daily order management shared services operations to ensure efficiency, accuracy, and service excellence.
  • Lead, coach, and develop shared services teams to drive high performance and engagement.
  • Identify and implement process improvements, best practices, and automation initiatives.
  • Drive regional process harmonisation and workflow optimisation.
  • Manage complex customer orders and resolve major issues or escalations.
  • Evaluate and implement technologies to enhance order management efficiency and customer experience.
  • Ensure accurate SAP (SD/MM) data maintenance and provide operational insights and performance reporting.
  • Ensure compliance with international and local import and export regulations.
  • Maintain strong knowledge of customs, tax, and trade regulatory requirements.
  • Liaise with freight forwarders, customs brokers, and trade partners to meet compliance and service standards.
  • Develop and execute logistics strategies across multiple product categories, balancing cost, service, and resources.
  • Oversee major logistics initiatives, system enhancements, and process improvements.
  • Drive sustainability initiatives, including drop‑shipment strategies.
  • Manage warehouse operations, including storage, movement, and inventory control.
  • Monitor product lifecycles and proactively identify and address warehousing risks.
  • Ensure end‑to‑end visibility of logistics flows to minimise disruptions.
  • Manage logistics costs within budget, optimising cost‑benefit trade‑offs.
  • Review 3PL performance and KPIs monthly and implement corrective actions.
  • Act as a strategic SCM business partner to internal stakeholders and country leadership.
  • Monitor vendor and partner performance using data‑driven insights.
  • Identify supply chain risks and implement mitigation strategies to ensure business continuity.
  • Lead end‑to‑end supply chain operations covering demand and supply planning, order management, logistics, and trade compliance, ensuring alignment with regional and global standards.
  • Act as a strategic business partner to stakeholders, driving operational excellence, cost optimisation, risk management, and continuous improvement to support business growth.
Requirements
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in Supply Chain Management, logistics, or shared services, including supervisory or managerial responsibilities.
  • Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Logistics, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
  • Hands‑on experience in planning & budgeting, logistics, and basic finance/accounting principles.
  • Strong knowledge of regulatory requirements, governing bodies, and compliance standards.
  • SAP knowledge (SD and MM modules) is an advantage.
  • Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and presentation skills.
  • Deep understanding of supply chain operations and best practices.
  • Effective people leader with the ability to motivate and develop teams.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • High level of integrity, professionalism, and discretion.
  • Mandarin is essential for the role to effectively communicate with mandarin‑speaking stakeholders.
