Job summary

A manufacturing company in Bayan Lepas is seeking a Supplier Quality Engineer responsible for conducting supplier audits, leading quality objectives, and ensuring compliance with ISO9001 and other quality standards. Candidates should have at least a Bachelor's Degree in Engineering and 2-4 years of relevant experience. To qualify new supplier by performing supplier audit and buy-off new supplier on sites.

To lead the team in achieving Quality Objectives targets.

Execute special project to support company and department objectives as assigned.

To be on top of every quality issue concerning FAI, incoming and assembly quality.

Report supplier performance and quality to Management.

Assist in the development and implementation of supplier management programs.

Evaluate and verify supplier process controls and supplier quality systems, analyze parts failures, facilitate writing or approve results of Corrective Actions of suppliers.

Track and qualify or disqualify suppliers according to KMWE's standards.

Monitor the subsequent lots for effectiveness based on Corrective Actions provided.

Maintain the related Q-Note/CPAR records for parts returned to suppliers (incoming/assembly rejects).

Work with suppliers on Quality Performance through on-site audit, periodic audit, process verification and Supply Chain Management.

Monitor and review supplier quality performance through monthly Supplier Review Meeting.

Maintain successful relationships with Procurement, Engineering, Manufacturing, QA and regulatory departments.

Communicate with the various parties such as Procurement and Engineering departments and suppliers to improve quality standards and minimize costs.

Support superior or Head of Department with any ad-hoc assignment from time to time.

Accountability

Host quality meetings to ensure on-time closure of Q-Notes/CPAR and ensure Corrective and Preventive Actions are implemented by supplier effectively.

Authority

To establish specific quality programs and KPI for continuous quality improvement by measurable performance tracking.

Review and authorize the issuing of Q-Notes for rejected items detected by incoming QA.

Implement and maintain suppliers' rating system.

Requirements:

Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or related field; or 2 years of related working experience in supplier qualification, supplier quality and quality management; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Minimum of 2-4 years of working experience in Supplier Management.

Comprehensive understanding of ISO9001, ISO13485 and AS9100 standard

Good language skills both spoken and written.

Highly motivated and able to work independently with minimum supervision.

Good at analytical thinking.

Good communication, interpersonal and leadership skills are essential.

Good at organizing tasks at hand.

Ability to deduce and interpret data and charts.

Demonstrate good negotiation, failure analysis and problem-solving abilities.
