Ben’s Independent Grocer (B.I.G.) is looking for a reliable and experienced Security Supervisor to oversee in-store safety, asset protection, and security team operations. The ideal candidate will play a critical role in maintaining a safe environment for customers, staff, and merchandise, with a strong focus on CCTV surveillance and incident response.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate day-to-day activities of in-store security personnel.
• Operate, monitor, and review CCTV systems to detect suspicious behavior, theft, or policy violations.
• Conduct regular checks on CCTV functionality and report any technical issues promptly.
• Lead store patrols and security inspections to prevent and deter shoplifting, vandalism, and unauthorized access.
• Respond promptly to emergencies, incidents, or disturbances and elevate when necessary.
• Investigate and document all security-related incidents, including video evidence from CCTV.
• Enforce store security procedures, access control, and loss prevention policies.
• Train new security staff, including hands‑on training with surveillance systems.
• Coordinate with law enforcement, emergency services, and internal management when required.
• Prepare shift schedules, duty rosters, and daily security reports.
• Support crowd control and safety management during peak hours, special events, and promotional activities.

Requirements

• Minimum 3 years of security experience, including at least 1 year supervisory.
• Hands‑on experience with CCTV monitoring systems, preferably in a retail or grocery environment.
• Strong understanding of safety procedures, retail loss prevention, and emergency response protocols.
• Excellent observational, communication, and leadership skills.
• Physically fit and able to perform patrols and handle emergency situations.
• Able to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays as needed.
• Basic computer skills for report writing and video review.

Preferred Experience

• Previous work experience in a supermarket, grocery store, or retail chain.
• Familiarity with retail POS systems, theft detection practices, and store operations.
