We're looking for a Strategic Sourcing Specialist to join our team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develops and executes strategic sourcing initiatives and category plans aligned with company objectives
  • Leads sourcing activities for raw materials and external suppliers in support of the New Product Development (NPD) process, partnering with Engineering and Sales
  • Manages assigned sourcing projects to ensure on-time, on-budget delivery of materials and supplier deliverables
  • Negotiates with suppliers on pricing, quality, delivery, specifications, lead times, and minimum order quantities to improve overall value
  • Builds, maintains, and strengthens long-term relationships with key suppliers
  • Negotiates and manages supplier contracts to protect company requirements and maximize commercial benefit
  • Identifies, evaluates, and implements new suppliers to generate cost savings and improve supply resilience
  • Maintains working knowledge of raw material procurement requirements across all manufacturing plants
  • Leads or supports supplier evaluations, audits, and performance reviews to ensure compliance with quality, regulatory, and customer requirements
  • Assists the VP of Supply Chain with ad-hoc and formalized sourcing, cost-reduction, and supply chain improvement projects
  • Collaborates with Purchasing Managers to analyze raw materials and finished goods in support of inventory optimization, improved turns, and cash flow management
  • Maintains knowledge of all applicable contracts, major site service agreements, systems contracts, and major leases
  • Interprets and applies applicable quality standards and customer-specific requirements related to supply chain processes
  • Maintains awareness of regional supplier markets, cost drivers, and market influences
  • Understands product plans, product life cycles, and their impact on sourcing strategies
  • Evaluates sourcing projects using appropriate purchasing and financial concepts
  • Analyzes market conditions, capacity, and delivery trends to assess current and future material availability and prepares market analysis reports
  • Performs all duties in compliance with applicable regulatory requirements and company policies and procedures
Desired Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in strategic sourcing, procurement, or supply chain within a manufacturing environment
  • Strong negotiation, contract management, and supplier relationship management skills
  • Experience working cross‑functionally with Engineering, Quality, Operations, and Sales
  • Knowledge of raw materials sourcing and supplier qualification processes
  • Experience supporting new product development initiatives
  • Familiarity with supplier audits, quality standards, and regulatory compliance
  • Experience with ERP/MRP systems and data analysis tools
  • Professional certifications such as CPSM, CSCP, or CPM (preferred)
Work Environment + Language Requirements
  • Global remote position
  • Requires at least 3 hours of overlap with U.S. Central Time each day
  • Minimal or no travel
  • Fluency in the English language; written and verbal proficiency (B2 level minimum on CEFR scale)
  • Reports to a U.S.-based Procurement Leadership
