Job summary

A leading property development company in Malaysia is seeking a General Manager - Legal to oversee all legal, regulatory, and compliance matters. The ideal candidate will have at least 10 years of legal experience, particularly in property development, and will provide strategic legal support to the company’s management. Responsibilities include advising on property-related transactions, ensuring compliance with laws, and managing the Legal team. A Bachelor’s Degree in Law and strong leadership skills are required.

Qualifications

• Qualified Advocate & Solicitor of the High Court of Malaya preferred.
• Minimum 10–15 years of legal experience in property development.
• In-depth knowledge of property law, conveyancing, and housing regulations.
• Experience in handling property-related disputes.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic legal advice to the Board on development matters.
• Draft and negotiate legal documents including agreements.
• Ensure compliance with property laws and regulations.
• Manage disputes and liaise with external parties.
• Lead and manage the Legal team.
