Job summary

Job description

We are seeking an experienced and responsible Storekeeper to manage warehouse and inventory activities at our biodiesel production plant. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in industrial storekeeping, good working knowledge of the SAP system, ability to operate a forklift and flexibility to work long hours as required by plant operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Receive, inspect, store and issue chemicals, spare parts and consumables for plant operation
• Maintain accurate inventory records using SAP (goods receipt, goods issue, stock transfers and physical inventory)
• Operate forklift and other material-handling equipment safely for loading, unloading and internal material movement
• Manage and ensure proper storage, labeling of spare parts inventory for mechanical, electrical and instrumentation equipment
• Perform regular physical stock counts and reconcile variances with SAP records
• Prepare inventory and consumption reports

Requirements

• Diploma or equivalent qualification in Warehouse Management, Logistics, Mechanical, Electrical or related field
• 2 years of experience as a storekeeper in manufacturing, chemical, biodiesel or process plant
• Experience using SAP inventory management system (MM module preferred)
• Experience operating forklifts and familiarity with plant spare parts
• Physically fit and ability to work long hours (overtime) when required
