Job description

State Registered Nurse, Endoscopy Department

Ensure all services in the Endoscopy Unit are safe, effective, well-led, caring and responsive to patient's needs, utilizing appropriate resources to provide safe and effective nursing services.

Ensure the provision of a high standard of perioperative care and services in the Endoscopy Unit and they are maintained at all times.

Act as an intermediary liaison officer between the Consultants and the patients and their relatives in the provision of quality patient care and services.

Work closely with the other allied healthcare professionals to improve the quality of care and services provided in the Endoscopy Unit.

Ensure all established Endoscopy Unit Policies and Procedures are strictly adhered to.

Assist in the implementation of new Endoscopy Unit practices or developments which may have an impact of the effective and efficient delivery of activity targets.

Performing diagnostic studies as ordered.

Requirements:

Must be a licensed registered nurse (RN) with a minimum of 2 years of experience in related healthcare position.

Able to manage own emotions and stress and be resilient in a range of complex and demanding situations.
