Allied Precision Technologies (M) Sdn Bhd is seeking a skilled Stamping Tool Maker to join our team in Melaka, Malaysia. You will play a key role in the design, manufacture, and maintenance of stamping tools and moulds used in our precision metal stamping operations. This is a full-time position where you can apply your technical expertise, craftsmanship, and passion for toolmaking in a dynamic and growing manufacturing environment.

Job Responsibilities

• Analyze tooling problems and carry out repairs for corrective action.
• Propose and implement improvements, including corrective and preventive measures.
• Read and interpret engineering drawings accurately.
• Setup and follow-up on die setup and perform minor troubleshooting on press machines.
• Assemble new tooling, modification and upgrading.
• Conduct test runs with completed tools or dies to ensure that parts meet specifications; make adjustments as necessary.
• Fit and assemble parts to make, repair, or modify dies, jigs, gauges, and tools, using machine tools and hand tools.
• Inspect finished dies for smoothness, contour conformity, and defects.
• Verify dimensions, alignments, and clearances of finished parts for conformance to specifications, using measuring instruments such as calipers, gauge blocks, micrometers, and dial indicators.
• Perform tool servicing, troubleshooting, and technical support for new tool settings.
• Carry out any other tasks or duties assigned by the superior.

Job Requirements

• Minimum 5 years of experience as a Stamping Tool Maker in the metal stamping industry.
• NTC 2 / Craftsman Certificate in Tool and Die Making, with strong knowledge of Tool and Die fabrication and modification.
• Proficient in reading blueprints and using metrology instruments.
• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills to identify and resolve production issues.
• High attention to detail, with strong commitment to quality and safety.
• Able to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
