SR. PRODUCTION ENGINEER (6 Month Contract)

The Senior Production Engineer (Contract) is engaged to stabilize production operations and deliver rapid, measurable improvements in yield, productivity, and process consistency. This role is execution-focused, with performance assessed weekly based on agreed operational deliverables. Experience in management and implementation of changes / improvements to people and processes is expected of this role.

Productivity – Support and Troubleshooting

• Monitor daily production performance and troubleshoot process issues on the shop floor.
• Support production teams in resolving quality defects, downtime, rework, and output shortfalls.
• Assist in stabilizing assigned production lines to meet daily and weekly output targets.

Process Control, Process Improvement and KPI

• Support improvement of KPIs and help create KPI-driven culture through daily shop floor meetings.
• Continuously evaluate and identify process inefficiencies related to productivity, yield, rework, or material usage. Review and revise SOPs where gaps are observed and implement effective process improvements followed by monitoring and measurement of results.
• Implement and maintain visual controls and process parameters on the shop floor.
• Ensure awareness and accessibility to documentations of developed processes by making available visual controls and visual guidance on the shop floor.

Lean and Waste Reduction

• Identify production waste using LEAN principles.
• Monitor and drive waste reduction initiatives.

Equipment, Tooling and Setup Support

• Work with maintenance teams in preventive maintenance, breakdown management and commissioning of machines, molds, dies or tooling for production.

Cross-Functional Support

• Work closely with cross-functional teams such as Sales and Marketing, QA/QC, Engineering (NPI) and Purchasing.
• To comply with instructions and regulations on OSHE (Occupational Safety and Health, Environmental) matters.
