Position 1: Senior Accounts Executive (Trading/Import & Export) - Bandar Tun Razak
Role Overview
We are looking for a detail-oriented and proactive Accounts Executive / Senior Accounts Executive to join our finance team. This role involves managing day-to-day accounting operations, ensuring accuracy and compliance, and supporting month-end closing activities. The ideal candidate will have strong technical accounting skills, excellent organizational abilities, and a collaborative mindset.
Key Responsibilities
- Handle full sets of accounts, including AP, AR, and GL functions
- Prepare and review journal entries, reconciliations, and schedules
- Monthly, quarterly, and annual closing processes
- Support preparation of financial statements and management reports
- Ensure compliance with company policies, accounting standards, and local regulations
- Liaise with external auditors and tax agents during audits and filings as required
- Identify opportunities to streamline accounting processes and improve efficiency
- Support implementation of system enhancements and automation initiatives
Preferences
- Diploma or Degree in Accounting or its equivalents
- Minimum 3 years of relevant accounting experience; experience in handling full sets of accounts preferred.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices.
- Proficiency in Autocount accounting software and MS Excel.
- Organized, meticulous, and a good team player.
Position 2: Senior Accounts Associates/Assistant Manager (Accounting & Audit Firm) - Jln Ipoh (MRT)
Responsibilities
- Lead a team of accountants responsible for the execution of month-end, quarter-end and/or year-end closing activities for our clients.
- Process & record accounts payable (invoices, payments) and accounts receivable (sales, collections).
- Assist in preparing financial statements and reports (P&L, Balance Sheet).
- Business partnering with other cross functional teams to ensure proper compliance with financial regulations and identify drivers of financial performance and support business growth.
- Provide clients with evaluations and where appropriate, recommendations on the reliability and integrity of both their financial and operating information.
- Perform other ad-hoc duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Minimum 5 years of accounting experience in accounting firms, shared services or outsourcing service providers with experience in managerial capacity.
- Professional or degree level qualifications in Accountancy.
- Good communication (written/verbal) and interpersonal skills in both English and Bahasa Malaysia.
- Proficiency in MS Excel and Xero Accounting will be an added advantage.
- Willingness to travel as required.
