Senior Accounts Executive – Shared Services (Healthcare Industry) – Subang Jaya (LRT)
We are looking for a detail-oriented and proactive Accounts Executive / Senior Accounts Executive to join our finance team. This role involves managing day-to-day accounting operations, ensuring accuracy and compliance, and supporting month-end closing activities. The ideal candidate will have strong technical accounting skills, excellent organizational abilities, and a collaborative mindset.
Key Responsibilities
- Handle full sets of accounts, including Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and General Ledger functions.
- Prepare and review journal entries, reconciliations, and schedules.
- Assist in monthly, quarterly, and annual closing processes.
- Support preparation of financial statements and management reports.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, accounting standards, and local regulations.
- Liaise with external auditors and tax agents during audits and filings.
- Identify opportunities to streamline accounting processes and improve efficiency.
- Support implementation of system enhancements and automation initiatives.
Requirements
- Diploma or Degree in Accounting.
- Minimum 3 years of relevant accounting experience; experience handling full sets of accounts preferred.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices.
- Proficiency in accounting software and MS Excel.
- Organized, meticulous, and a good team player.
- Auditing experience with Big Four or mid-tier firms is an advantage.
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Sr Account Executive / Accountant – Manufacturing – Shah Alam/Klang
Provide overall financial accounting support to Finance Manager. Ensure completeness and accuracy of receipts, payments, journal vouchers, accounting entries, and costing.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain full set of accounts, ensuring accuracy of receipts and payments, journal vouchers, and costing.
- Ensure proper valuation of product costing and inventory.
- Assist in setting up and maintaining internal control systems, financial policies, and procedures.
- Prepare monthly management accounts and periodic financial statements in compliance with statutory requirements, accounting standards, and corporate guidelines.
- Assist Finance Manager in preparing annual budgets, planning cash flow, forecasting and analyzing expenses.
- Plan, review and develop reports to meet management needs.
- Liaise with auditors, bankers, company secretaries, lawyers, tax agents, and government authorities to ensure compliance with relevant regulations.
- Maintain tax records and ensure timely Inland Revenue Board (IRB) tax return submission.
- Handle debtor collection and review new customer credit applications.
- Plan and execute cash flow management for optimum use of available funds and banking facilities.
- Supervise and train a team of accounting staff.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by management.
Authority
Approve inventory adjustments; approve sales orders/delivery orders exceeding credit limits; review and approve invoice/DN/CN issuance; release payment authorized by management; approve petty cash purchases (monthly limit – RM 1500); approve subordinates’ leave applications and overtime; approve payment vouchers, journal entries, and issuance of management reports; initiate & review ISO related documents.
Qualifications & Experience
- Minimum five years of experience in handling full set account and financial management.
- Preferably an Accredited Accountant.
- Demonstrated ability to work proactively in a diverse and inclusive organization.
- Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills.
- Effective problem-solving and mediation skills.
- Proficiency with office computer equipment and software.
- Proven ability to cope with conflict, stress, and crisis situations.
