About the Role

To process and/or underwrite life insurance plans that are outsourced from SG AIA to OSS within the Service Level Agreement (SLA) signed between SG AIA and OSS.

• Process/Underwrite all life insurance applications that are out-sourced to the department according to the agreed Standard Operating Procedure and guidelines.
• Ensure all cases assigned are being processed accurately with prudent risk assessment being performed and within the agreed TAT and Quality as documented in the Service Level Agreement (SLA) with the business partner.
• Maintains a high level of accuracy (Quality) and seeks to improve individual quality scores from time to time.
• Maintains a high level of Productivity and seeks to improve individual productivity scores from time to time.
• Maintains a good personal record of training in line with the training framework of OSS. Shows keenness to develop technical competency by improving underwriting authority.
• Performs other responsibilities and duties periodically assigned by immediate supervisor/ manager to meet business requirements.

Job Requirements

• Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor\'s Degree, Post Graduate, Professional Degree in Medical Science, Bioscience background, Insurance or Financial related qualifications for underwriter role
• Experienced candidate must have at least 2 years\' experience in medical underwriting, medical lab or 5 years in nursing, or any relevant medical background
• Fresh graduate from Bioscience education background are encouraged to apply
• Customer oriented, self-motivated, proficient in Microsoft Office
• Able to adapt desk-bound working environment, working shift including weekend on rotation basis& able to work overtime beyond normal office hour (including weekend & public holiday)
