As a Senior Engineer, this role is responsible for the technical operations and maintenance of data analytics platforms, encompassing both crowd sourced and internal data systems. Key responsibilities include ensuring platform reliability through proactive system monitoring, performance optimization, and advanced troubleshooting. The position also focuses on developing and maintaining interactive dashboards and managing change requests (CR) to enhance system functionality and uphold data integrity.

Additionally, the role coordinates with vendors for hardware support and replacements, oversees procurement documentation, and ensures timely resource availability to maintain seamless operations and support business continuity.

The Day to Day Activities
  • Monitor and Optimize SystemPerformance -Continuously monitorplatform health, analyze performance metrics, and resolve alerts or issuespromptly to ensure high availability and reliability
  • Vendor Coordination for HardwareSupport -Liaise with vendorsfor troubleshooting, repairing, and replacement of hardware components,ensuring minimal downtime and compliance with SLAs.
  • Manage and Deliver TechnicalProject - Lead and supportsmall-scale IT projects from planning through implementation, ensuringtechnical accuracy and timely delivery.
  • Data Analysis and Visualization -Analyze crowdsourcedand internal datasets, design and maintain interactive dashboards, andprovide actionable insights for operational improvements.
  • Change Request (CR) Administration -Handle, track, andimplement CRs for system enhancements and updates, ensuring properdocumentation and adherence to change management processes.
  • Procurement Documentation andCoordination -Prepare and submitPurchase Requisition (PR) forms, manage sourcing requests, and follow up onPurchase Order (PO) issuance with vendors and internal teams.
  • Customer Experience PlatformSupport -Maintain and support UMobile’s Customer Experience Solution, ensuring system stability and superiorservice quality.
  • Trouble Ticket Resolution -Respond promptly to escalatetrouble tickets from first-level support, performing root cause analysis andresolving complex technical issues within defined timelines.
About You
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field.
  • 3–5 years of hands‑on experience in systems support, project coordination, or data analytics.
  • Expert‑level proficiency in SQL, including complex query optimization and stored procedures.
  • Strong foundation in data modelling, ETL processes, and performance optimization.
  • Excellent analytical and problem‑solving skills, with the ability to communicate clearly to both technical and non‑technical audiences.
  • Proficiency in programming and data processing tools such as PHP, Python, Apache Spark, or equivalent frameworks.
  • Strong knowledge of data visualization platforms (e.g., Grafana, Redash)
  • Experience with hardware diagnostics and vendor coordination for troubleshooting and replacements.
  • Familiarity with network probe and Deep Packet Inspection (DPI) systems is an advantage.
  • Understanding of AWS Cloud services and deployment practices is a plus.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Strong communication skills for effective stakeholder engagement and vendor coordination.
