Job description

Are you driven, results-oriented, and a team player?

With 17,000+ retailers and restaurants in over 15 countries, StoreHub is on a mission to enable everyone, big or small, to build successful businesses. At StoreHub, we're building a dream team whereby all of your colleagues are extraordinary at what they do and are highly effective collaborators. It is in such a team that you learn the most, perform your best work, improve the fastest, and have the most fun.

If this is a journey you’d like to embark on, keep reading!

As our Special Projects Officer, you will sit within the CEO’s Office and operate as a problem-solver across the business. Your role is to take on high-impact, cross-functional initiatives that do not neatly belong to any single team. You will own problems end-to-end: diagnosing root causes, aligning stakeholders, designing solutions, and driving execution until results are delivered. Once a solution is stable, you will hand it off to a permanent owner and move on to the next priority.

This is not a support or coordination role. You are here to drive outcomes, cut through ambiguity, and make things happen across teams that may have competing incentives or unclear ownership.

Your goal is to turn strategic ambiguity into concrete execution and measurable impact.

What you will do:
End-to-End Problem Solving
  • Own ambiguous, cross-functional problems from diagnosis through implementation, not just recommendation.
  • Break down complex business issues into structured problem statements, root causes, and clear solution paths.
  • Design interventions that are practical, scalable, and aligned with company priorities.
Strategic and Operational Projects
  • Lead deep-dives on critical business issues such as retention, operational inefficiencies, pricing changes, or org design challenges.
  • Map end-to-end processes across teams to identify bottlenecks, handoff failures, and accountability gaps.
  • Drive execution across multiple stakeholders, ensuring solutions actually land and stick.
Stakeholder Alignment and Execution
  • Align leaders and teams who may have different goals, perspectives, or incentives.
  • Push projects forward in environments with limited clarity, imperfect data, and no formal authority.
  • Track progress, surface risks early, and adapt plans as realities on the ground change.
Leadership and Strategy Support (Occasional)
  • Support the CEO and leadership team on selected strategic planning, investor materials, or board-level analyses when needed.
  • Translate complex analysis into clear narratives that enable confident decision-making.
How you will need to be:
A Structured Thinker
  • Bring clarity to messy situations.
  • Break problems into components, work with data where available, and form sound judgments even when information is incomplete.
Biased Toward Action
  • Push for decisions and execution.
  • Test solutions quickly and focus on real-world outcomes over theoretical perfection.
Comfortable With Ambiguity
  • Thrive when problems are ill-defined and ownership is unclear.
  • Operate with high autonomy without waiting for perfect instructions.
Clear and Adaptive Communicator
  • Communicate effectively across levels, from frontline teams to senior leadership.
  • Tailor messages to different audiences while staying direct and precise.
Low Ego, High Ownership
  • Work across teams without formal authority.
  • Listen, challenge constructively, and persist until results are delivered, even when uncomfortable.
What you need to have:
  • 3 to 5 years of experience in a role requiring strong analytical and problem-solving skills (for example consulting, banking, strategy, operations, analytics, or equivalent).
  • Demonstrated ability to work through ambiguous problems and drive execution across multiple stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical foundation with comfort working with data, building structured arguments, and drawing insights.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present clearly to senior leaders.
  • Comfort with modern data and productivity tools, and a strong curiosity about technology and AI.
  • A track record of ownership, follow‑through, and delivering tangible outcomes.
What makes working at StoreHub awesome (and refreshing!):
  • Our people - for real. StoreHubbers are some of the smartest and most interesting people you can work with. Expect a lot of peer-learning.
