Job description

Job summary: Responsible to ensure inventory, purchasing, and distribution of spare parts are managed in the most efficient way with utilization of CMMS system and other warehousing tools. The goal of the role is to ensure least downtime due to spare part issue and cost effective in holding inventory. This role requires proactive coordinating with suppliers, tracking stock levels, use predictive methodology for forecast and ordering.

Job scope
  1. Fulfilment:
    • Ensure spare part ordering made by technician are prepared timely and informed for self‑pick up or shipped on same day.
    • Explore use of efficient delivery method such as Lalamove etc at locations where such services are available.
  2. Inventory management:
    • Perform regular inventory reconciliation to ensure stock in hand are accurate.
    • Perform usage analysis and come up with forecast and predictive ordering.
    • Proactively engage with supplier for stock status updates.
    • Escalate to manager if foresee any challenges in getting parts from supplier.
    • Proactively explore multiple supplier options to ensure reliance on single source is avoided.
    • Ensure at all times keep spare part warehouse clean and neat.
  3. Documentation and audit:
    • Maintain all required document accurate and neatly.
    • Perform regular audits on the technician’s vehicle to ensure spare parts are not mismanaged.
    • Escalate to manager if found any issues pertaining to spare part usage by technician.
  4. Use of system:
    • Well‑versed with CMMS and warehousing system.
    • Proactively utilize the systems to ensure spare parts are managed in most efficient way.
    • Proactively explore new technology in warehousing which brings efficiency to work.
  5. Ad‑hoc duties:
    • Carry out other ad‑hoc projects or duties as assigned by superior.
