Strategic Leadership: Develop and execute commodity strategies that align with the company’s strategic plan, ensuring supply chain resilience and innovation.
Sourcing Execution: Achieve cost savings through strategic negotiations and process improvements, supporting NPI and project launches.
Performance Management: Analyze key metrics and present strategic roadmaps to leadership, collaborating cross-functionally to align procurement with business targets.
Team Development: Lead and mentor a team of sourcing buyers, fostering a culture of ownership and continuous improvement.
Compliance and Transformation: Strengthen EHS and compliance frameworks, and implement digital procurement transformation.
Educational Background: A Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Procurement, Business, or related field (Master’s preferred).
Experience Required: Minimum 8 years in strategic procurement/sourcing within manufacturing, including 3+ years in a team leadership role.
System Proficiency: Hands‑on experience with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle procurement modules) and Data tools (Excel, Power BI, or similar visualization tools).
Compliance Knowledge: Strong knowledge in compliance modules such as ISO IATF16949/14001, and EHS regulations, and contract compliance.
Specific Experience: At least one of the experience managing production materials (plastics, chemicals, packaging) and non‑production materials (investment, MRO, facility, tooling, services). Experienced in leading procurement transformation, or commodity strategy development.
Industry Knowledge: Experience managing production and non‑production materials, with a focus on procurement transformation.
Core Competencies: Expertise in strategic sourcing, leadership, negotiation, analytical skills, and digital fluency.
Language Proficiency: Fluent in English and Bahasa Malaysia; Mandarin is advantageous for broader communication within the region.
