Job summary

A US base company in Malaysia is looking for an experienced Sourcing Manager to oversee the procurement process. The successful candidate will handle supplier management, negotiate contracts, and develop cost-saving strategies. Responsibilities
  • Supplier Management: Identify, vet, onboard, and manage relationships with new and existing suppliers.
  • Strategic Sourcing: Develop and implement strategies for procuring goods/services to achieve cost savings and quality.
  • Negotiation: Lead contract and price negotiations with suppliers to secure favorable terms.
  • Performance Monitoring: Conduct supplier evaluations and performance reviews.
  • Risk Management: Identify and mitigate potential supply chain risks.
  • Market Analysis: Stay informed on market trends, conditions, and new technologies.
  • Collaboration: Work with internal teams (finance and operations) to align sourcing with business objectives.
  • Cost Reduction: Identify cost-saving opportunities and alternative suppliers.
Education and Experience
  • At least 5 years of experience in a related field.
  • Diploma or bachelor’s degree in Business, Management, Mechanical engineering or equivalent.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
  • Strong organizational and negotiation skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, including verbal and written communication in English
